2025–2026 Tryout Registration Process (13U–18U)

Northwest Arkansas Juniors Storm Volleyball Club

We’ve designed our tryout process to give every athlete a clear pathway into the club while keeping registration simple and flexible — especially for families navigating both summer and fall schedules.

How Registration Works

• Primary Summer Tryouts: All athletes interested in an Adidas, Elite, or National Level team (U13–U18) MUST REGISTER FOR THE SUMMER EVALUATION for the 2025–2026 tryout season.
  Fee: $45 Early Bird, $55 Regular, $75 Late (Tryout shirt not guaranteed for late registrations).
• Fall Open Gym Evaluations: Invitation-based, for open roster spots on Adidas, Elite, and some National Level teams. Roster needs will be published August 15, 2025.
• Fall Tryouts (Premier Level + All U12, U11, U10 Teams): Full tryout details for these age groups will also be released August 15, 2025.

Athlete Placement & Age Division Integrity

Northwest Arkansas Juniors Storm Volleyball Club is committed to placing athletes in training environments that are age-appropriate, developmentally sound, and aligned with long-term growth—not short-term convenience.

• In our early years, athletes were occasionally allowed to “play up” an age group to consolidate competitive talent. This was a strategic decision when talent gaps were more distinct.
• Today, we follow a development-first model. Athletes may only be considered for older age groups when it serves both the athlete’s long-term growth and the needs of the club.
• Requests to play up based on personal coach preference, convenience, or desire for “more challenge” will not be honored. Coach placement is not parent-selected.
• Legacy placements from earlier years may be maintained when appropriate, but no new age-up requests will be granted without club approval.
• Families who attempt to bypass the placement process or “coach shop” within the club may jeopardize their standing with the program.

Bottom Line: Either you believe in our placement process—or you don’t. We ask that families trust the training and development systems we’ve built to support long-term success.

Summer Tryout Fee & Deadlines

Fee includes:

• Storm Tryout Shirt (color-coded by position)
• Access to all applicable evaluation sessions (summer tryouts and fall open gym)
• Administrative processing and coaching review

Summer Tryout Shirt = Your Athlete’s Ticket

Each registered athlete will receive a Storm Tryout Shirt at check-in. This shirt must be worn at all evaluations, including fall Open Gym sessions, and serves as proof of summer registration and payment.

If worn during a fall Open Gym Evaluation, the shirt also provides free entry to that session.

The club will publish a list of remaining roster needs by age group on August 15, 2025. Families can then decide if they wish to attend a fall tryout session based on their athlete’s fit and interest.
